Weber State Game Day Thread: Wildcats v. NAU LumberJacks

Coach Mac may go out the way he likes it; in bad weather

In accordance with our policy of proudly supporting home town WSU Football in good times and not so good times, win or lose, here's this morning's Standard-Examiner story on this afternoon's final Stewart Stadium 2011 Big Sky Conference home game, where the biggest part of the Wildcats/Lumberjacks face-off story may very well be WSU's plan to send our much beloved coach Ronnie Mac out with a giant bang:
The Standard's definitely done a yeoman's job of reporting on Coach Mac's retirement this week, by the way, with no fewer than six Ronnie Mac retirement stories during the past week:
Hats off to the Standard-Examiner for that.

For those diehard WSU football fanatics who haven't shifted their focus to the encouragingly talented Weber State athletic squad (you know -- the other one - which plays ball indoors on a hardwood-floored arena, and NOT on stadium outdoor gridiron turf), we'll once again provide the WSU football audio link for your convenience:
But with WSU officialBolds having scheduled pre-game festivities to honor McBride with gifts and a video tribute pre-game...
...we'll be hoping that WSU/Coach Mac fans will find at least one further motivation to visit the stadium (which was built for our retiring WSU coach) one last time this season.

Go Wildcats!

Happy retirement, Coach Mac!

Update 11/12/11 5:15 p.m.: Final Score: Wildcats win by a score of (what else?) 34-31 for Coach Mac's final home game! C.J. Tuckett with over 400 yards of total offense.

Update 11/12/11 7:33 p.m.: the Standard is Johnny-on the Spot with this brief post game story:
That's right! 34-31, heheheh....

Update 11/13/11 9:00 a.m.: The Standard carries two post-game write-ups this morning:

Does anybody know if the UofU vs UCLA game will be televised, and if so, on what channel?

Good question, Danny.  The game will be broadcast @ 4:30 on KJZZ, according to this morning's Standard-Examiner.  I'll definitely be glued to the tube, watching that one myself.

Too funny, with WCF up by six points (blown PAT), the radio "commentaters"  can't even see the stripes on the field from the press box, due to the heavy snow.
