Standard-Examiner: Unorthodox California Company Thinking of Buying Powder Mountain

As we said before... we'll be crossing our fingers... and our toes...

As a followup to our February 19, 2012 writeup, "Ogden Valley Forum: Rumors Abound Over Possible Sale of Powder Mountain," the Standard-Examiner reports this morning that the scuttlebutt suggesting that Powder Mountain ownership is entertaining a well-heeled acquisition suitor has advanced beyond the mere rumor stage:
For the dedicated folks in Ogden Valley and Weber County in general who fought tooth and nail for a number of years to prevent the commercial pillage of Ogden Valley, the arrival of a more environmentally responsible and restrained prospective resort owner would be nothing less than a Godsend, wethinks.

As we said before... we'll be crossing our fingers... and our toes...

Update 3/1/12 10:00 a.m.: Our friends at Ogden Valley Forum are all over this story too:

Before we go all goo goo ga ga about some messianic prospective new owner and thier  environment responsibility lets see how this plays out....I envision alot of helicopters buzzing over the valley for the rich and famous....me thinks big changes are in store for the valley on a broader basis than just not having "powderville".    Keep yer "powder" dry....you might need it.

Do the potential new owners realize that they will have tp purchase other items besides the ski resort? They will need to make bribes er campaign donations to various levels of elected officials.
