2017 Ogden City Municipal Primary Election Day Thread - Updated

Check back after 8:00 p.m. and join in on all the fun

Breaking news for WCF readers who may have been living under a rock: Today is Ogden City Primary Municipal Election Day; and assuming you're registered to vote, and that you haven't already availed yourself of "by-mail voting," you can nevertheless vote from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the following "Voter Assistance Centers":
This morning;s Standard-Examiner story should serve as a reminder that typical Utah primary election turnouts are notoriously meager.
So if you want to see your favorite council candidates survive to run in the November election, don't stay home and rely on your neighbors to put them over the top, folks, even though you're confident that they're leading in the most recent polling.

"One Stop Shopping" for Emerald City Municipal Election candidates... that's what we aptly call it.

In the meantime however, we'll invite you all to chime in with a little primary election day conversation. We'd definitely like to hear how your voting experience went today. Were poll workers courteous and well prepared? Did you have any problems casting your vote? What could city and county election officials do, if anything, to improve the process?

Update 8/15/2017 8:22 p.m.: Okay folks. Today's results are already rolling in, Thanks to Weber County Clerk Ricky Hatch's Election Office:
With 19.9% of all votes counted at 8:58 p.m., it appears that the tallies are now strongly leaning in favor of City Council incumbents.

Update 8/15/18 9:27 p.m.: Here are tonight's final tallies, folks, indicating that all City Council incumbents drew the most votes in each precinct tonight:
Now that didn't take long, did it? It ought to be an interesting runoff in November, wethinks.

Congrats to the top two winners in each precinct; and thanks to all the other candidates for participating in this year's Ogden City Elections!
