Weber State University Game-Day Thread: WSU v. Idaho State

Yes. Get your purple and white colors on this afternoon

WSU v. ISU
There will be plenty of activity on the Weber State University campus. as our Weber State Wildcats host Big Sky Conference rival, the Idaho State Bengals this afternoon.

The Standard-Examiner's Brandon Garside provides the pre-game story. Here's the lede:
OGDEN — Three years ago, Weber State football notched only two wins for the second consecutive season.Despite the poor record, there was still optimism around the program’s future with then first-year head coach Jay Hill tasked with rebuilding the team back into a contender. That hope has grown into reality each year since, and the Wildcats (8-2, 6-1 Big Sky) are now one game away from sharing the 2017 Big Sky Conference championship as they host the Idaho State Bengals on Saturday afternoon.

That's right, folks. After a recent multi-year winning drought, our Wildcats will at least share the regular season Big Sky Conference title, with a win over the ISU Bengals this afternoon.

Yes. Don your woolie-woolies, get your purple and white colors on this afternoon, go to Stewart Stadium, and put your butts into WSU's comfortable stadium seats. Looks like it'll be danged near perfect football weather this afternoon. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. MDT at Stewart Stadium.

Failing that, the game will be streamed live on PlutoTV channel 235 and on WatchBigSky.com; and the radio broadcast will air on 1430 AM KLO, with Ron Zundel and WSU football alum Bo Bolen on the call, of course.

Next stop (we hope) the playoffs. If all goes well, we'll keep you posted about that.

Go Wildcats, no?
