Hot Off the Press: The Standard-Examiner Endorses Amy Wicks For Ogden Council At-large Seat "C"

Another fantastic Standard-Examiner 2011 Municipal Election pick

On the heels of yesterday's strong Standard-Examiner Council Ward 2 (Jennifer Neil) endorsement, we're now doubly delighted to report this afternoon that The SE Editorial Board has just now posted to its website its recommendation in the other contested 2011 Ogden City Council race. Check out the "hot off the press" editorial piece linked below, wherein the Standard-Examiner endorses veteran Ogden City Council incumbent Amy Wicks for Ogden Council At-large Seat "C":
This, folks, is a newspaper editorial board firing on all 16 cylinders and running on nitro!

Who'll be the first to throw in their own 2¢?

Their mayoral endorsement will presumably appear in Sunday's paper. Any bets?

I agree with Rudi's assessment of the SE's editorial board this election.  They have chosen the two candidates for the Council that are true servants of the public and will serve Ogden honorably and ethically.   Both Amy and Jennifer want all city government decisions made with transparency and public input.  Ogden will have the best city council in Utah if both are elected and sworn in in January.

With a new mayor that will work with an outstanding and dedicated council, Ogden has a much brighter and better outlook for the future.

Hopefully the voters of Ogden will retire the Godfrey lackeys, Stephenson and Rick Safsten when Godfrey retires, and we can put the dark days of a dictator-led administration and a rubber-stamp council which Safsten and Stephenson were a part of with their private meetings with Godfrey behind closed doors.

Off the subject --  HAPPY BIRTHDAY, RUDI!!

Take the rest of the day off!  You deserve it!

OIV,  if I were a betting person, I'd bet you.  I think the article will appear in tomorrow's (Saturday's) paper because they run articles on their web-site the next day in the paper.

Thanks for the kind wishes, Dorrene.  And yes, I'd originally planned to take the WHOLE day off.  Couldn't resist posting the latest SE endorsement news however.  You know how it goes. ;-)

What's more, Ms. Wicks has promised never to annoy her constituents with robocalls!

Very smart choice.  Amy watched over the store when Godfrey and his gang of thieves secretly tried to fleece the City and with some success. Ah, what's a $100 million with NO consequences.

Another note......I heard Ogden's beloved Midget Moron is back in town.  Maybe Scottie Brown's back looking for a position with a new administration or maybe Jon Greiner wants to talk with him?  Either way, you've been warned!

If anyone espies Scotty Brown in town...

Call the FBI.

Hmmm.... Sounds like "sour grapes" to us.
