According to media reports, a giant data center in Houston experienced a grand transformer explosion, which wiped out 700,000 web sites. It wiped out walls at the mega datacenter too:
Consider this a worldwide "hardware problem," which illustrates that web data is extremely vulnerable to catastrophic hardware failures.
Just goes to show how truly fragile our 21st century internet architecture is, we guess.
