It's deja vu all over again. Do you all remember back in 2007, when Robert Kennedy, Jr. visited Ogden, with erstwhile Ogden moneyman/developer Gadi Leshem in tow? Those were Leshem's "glory days" indeed... before it was publicly recognized that Gadi would suffer his leaden fall from grace.
Well... according to info received from a sharp-eyed WCF reader, Mr. Kennedy will again be visiting Utah next week. Here's the data, from a gentle reader who'd prefer to go unnamed:

Wonder if Mr. Kennedy will make a visit to the Ogden River Project area (aka Leshemville) while visiting our fair state? I'm sure he would be unimpressed with the progress. For those who haven't been keeping track, this November 7, 2009 Weber County Forum article describes the current condition of the Ogden River Project, by the way.
Hopefully Mr. Kennedy will find the time to take another short trip "up north" to revisit the River Project site.
Who will be the first to comment?

Kennedy wont show up in Ogden, unless someone gives a big hand ful of cash.
Off topic, but sign of the times?
The front page of the Standard Examiner's Top of Utah section today has eight photos on it.
Six of them are mug shots.
Weird, all of the surrounding Cities have a lot of crime, but Ogden's has decreased? Sure it has...
I'd be surprised if RFK Jr. even remembers coming to Ogden. Now that two years have elapsed since his ballyhooed appearance down on the river side, it's safe to admit that everyone there, including RFK and Gadi, knew the River Project was nothing but smoke and mirrors.
Meanwhile, Mayor Matthew Godfrey has no intention of being upstaged by a non-Christian, and has an even bigger celebrity in mind to help him unveil his flatland gondola -- ex-secretary of state Gondoleezza Rice.
When the last SE article came out describing the sorry state of affairs at the River, I sent the URL to Mr. Kennedy through his website. So someone on his staff has been appraised of the situation even if he hasn't.
I think it would be wonderful if he showed up, but I'm not holding my breath.
MM:
Gondolesa Rice. Groan....
If you don sack cloth and ashes right now, maybe... maybe by Dec. 2011 you'll have atoned sufficiently for that ghastly pun.
Maybe....
If his next child is a girl, the mayor has threatened to name her Gondoleezza!
I wonder if Mr. Kennedy would like to see the pictures of the river being polluted when the bike shop was being built right after he left last time and how the city swept it all under the carpet. These were the pictures that Rep. Hansen and Bill C took and KSL did a story on it.
Wouldn't it be something if there were some sense of an accountability on that.
