Encouraging to see the Standard reporting on the massive water system cash-eating monster lurking on the near horizon in the wake of the Godfrey Administration's political departure
Mainly for archival purposes, we'll link this morning's Standard-Examiner story, in which S-E reporter Mitch Shaw finally gets around to reporting on the main agenda item of last Tuesday's Ogden City Council work session:
Although this morning's story is merely a rehash of the material provided during Tuesday night's Dan Schroeder live blogging session, it's encouraging to see the Standard however belatedly reporting on the massive water system cash-eating monster lurking on the near horizon in the wake of the Godfrey administration's political departure.

a year ago, the city bureaucrats were touting the fact that they had
money left over from the last massive water rate increase, that was
supposed to be the fix-all. They recommended ways for the council to
blow the money, which they willingly did, on water tanks that are 3
times as big as they needed to be.
Now these same bureaucrats are back, asking for more money. They are
liars and snakes and the city council should fire them all and hire
fresh people.
What political departure??? The Godfrey administration's still very much in place, from Mark Johnston on down. Caldwell is a clueless figurehead. Also rumor has it Godfrey himself is elbowing his way into Ogden's affairs with help from the infamous Ogden Community Foundation.
Hmm... Maybe we could persuuade the City Council to put abounty on his head... you know... like the State Legislature did with Wily Coyote?
