OGDEN, Utah – Weber State University’s Engaged Learning Series will host the Utah Air Quality Expert Panel Discussion [today] Jan. 22 at 12:30 p.m. in the Shepherd Union Wildcat Theater.Here's more information from the WSU site:
The WSU Environmental Issues Committee and the Center for Community Engaged Learning are co-sponsoring the panel composed of four local air quality experts who represent diverse interests:
Associate professor of geography Eric Ewert will moderate the event.
- Matt Pacenza, policy director for HEAL Utah
- Rep. Joel Briscoe, minority caucus manager for the Utah State Legislature
- Susan Soleil, executive director of Utah Interfaith Power and Light
- Carl Ingwell, director of the University of Utah’s Student Clean Air Network
“We envison this panel as less about hand-wringing over the poor quality of our air, and more about what citizens and residents can do to fix it,” Ewert says. “While only scheduled for 50 minutes, the session will continue as long as there are questions, and we will give hands-on demonstration of websites, phone apps and ways to get involved right away.”

Why worry about this when according to "The Church", keeping alcohol and marriage rules at status quo are the big problems in Utah. Wouldn't want the kiddies to see a drink being mixed while breathing poison air. Might get them thinking for themselves, Oh my heck...

Priorities, Rudi, priorities. That is why Utah is spending money fighting same sex marriage, but not another dime for education.
We are all suffering from it! I was fine, my health was good until I moved back here from Sun Valley, ID. 7 yrs. ago. Now, not so good, a big difference...watering eyes,sore throat all the time, dry lips, chest congestion/breathing...it goes on and on. Something has to be done! But, what does one do to fix it? I do my part with what ever I can, but it seems so little! Utah seems to be all screwed up with everything they try to do,its all blank talk, and they take so long doing nothing....with what ever the hell it is that they are NOT doing! Does not make sense to me either!!! Something or someone's gotta give! Soon, before we all start falling over dead!
