Nominees have been announced for the 2nd District bench seat, wherein Governor Herbert will fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Michael L. Lyon, effective September 1, 2013. The nominees are Catherine S. Conklin, currently domestic relations commissioner in the Ogden district courthouse; Deputy Weber County Attorney Sandra L. Corp, former public defender now in private practice in Ogden; Robert L. Froerer;
Weber County Attorney Dee W. Smith; and
Gary R. Williams, legal counsel for Ogden City Corporation.
