Another fine editorial in this morning's Standard-Examiner, blasting "Utah political leaders" generally, and Lt. Governor Greg Bell specifically for enacting an Orwellian "interim rule" which would in effect require online citizens initiative petition signators to have a petition gatherer physically looking over their shoulders while "signing" an online petition:
• OUR VIEW: A ridiculous e-petition ruleAs Utahns for Ethical Government lawyers prepare to take Lt. Governor Bell back to court, there's one thing all lumpencitizens can do to eliminate the legal confusion, folks.
Sign a paper petition, folks! With the August 12 UEG Ethics Initiative Petition submission deadline fast approaching, we urge all WCF readers to carve a few minutes out of your busy schedules, travel to one of the below locations where petitions are available for your signatures and take the affirmative step of letting obstructionists like Greg Bell know the will of the Utah lumpencitizens will not be thwarted:

Win or lose, I hope everyone who supports the ethics petition will remember the complete anti-democratic rottenness of Greg Bell and his little fascist buddy Gary Herbert in November.
Greg Bell and Gary Herbert are now fascists? HAHAHA. How many Jews do you think they murdered this week? My guess: none, zero, zilch, nada.
Everyone murders everyone every instant; and, it's all good. or have you forgotten your Hindu Scripture.
This is a prime example of the views of our current leaders in both in Weber County and our State.
They have orchestrated calculated responses to any attempt by the public to provide electronic input or criticism of their performance as leaders.
We were present in Ogden at a Commission meeting a few years ago when the deputy Weber County Attorney stated that e-mails and electronic petitions were viewed as non legal "Public Outcry" and were not accepted by the County leadership.
Is it any wonder there is a strong movement to change the leadership in this County and State? These existing politicians will do anything to restrict
the citizens rights.
We have a serious chance to change the leadership
view this November by electing Drew Johnson and Amy Wicks to the Weber County Commission.
If the voters go with the same old people or someone that represents their views, no changes will ever be made.
