Although not exactly red meat news, for the sake of archival consistency, we'll link to this morning's Standard-Examiner story, which reports that Boss Godfrey has now selected a replacement from within Ogden City employee ranks to fill Keith Morey's now-vacated Community Development Manager slot:
OGDEN -- An Ogden municipal employee has been promoted to serve as the city's new community development manager. Here's this morning's full Std-Ex writeup, folks:
Jonny Ballard, who previously was the city's recreation division manager, was chosen over about 75 applicants for the community development post.
Ballard, who joined the city in July, has already begun his new job. His annual salary will increase from $80,000 to $85,000.[...]
Ballard is a native of Palmdale, Calif., and was a real estate developer before joining the city. He has a bachelor's degree in marketing from Regis University.
• Ballard promoted to manager position in OgdenWe gotta admit we know absolutely nothing about this guy, other than what appears in this morning's Scott Schwebke story. Perhaps a few of our well-connected city hall insider readers can help us fill in the blanks. It would be useful to develop a full fact sheet on Mr. Ballard for future reference, we think.
