Standard-Examiner: Mayoral Debate Today at WSU - Updated

Hopefully the morning scheduling of this event will prove convenient for those Ogden voters who've been heretofore unable to attend the other previous evening-hour mayoral candidate showcase events

We'll let this morning's brief Standard-Examiner announcement serve as a further reminder of this morning's WSU student-sponsored 2011 Ogden Municipal Election Mayoral Debate, as is more particularly set forth below:
OGDEN -- Weber State University will host a debate between Ogden's mayoral candidates at 10:30 a.m. today in the Wildcat Theater, Shepherd Union Building, WSU, 3848 Harrison Blvd.

The hourlong debate between candidates Mike Caldwell and Brandon Stephenson will be run by students and will feature questions asked by students.

The event is free and open to the public.
Hopefully the morning scheduling of this event will prove convenient for those Ogden voters who've been heretofore unable to attend the other previous evening-hour mayoral candidate showcase events.

We'll leave the lower comments section open, of course, for any WCF readers who'd like to offer their comments before, during or after this event.

Update 10/6/11 8:00 a.m.: The Standard-Examiner is all over the post-debate story this morning with this hard-copy edition, front page Scott Schwebke report :

Don't know where else to post this link.  Mayor Godfrey supports dividing Ogden into 3 separate Senate districts.  No disenfranchisement of minority parties here...  And why exactly will they have "far more motivation to communicate regularly with city leadership...?"

LR:  We had an earlier discussion on that topic here:

Standard-Examiner: Outrage Over Redistricting Senate Seats in Ogden

Thanks, however, for raising the issue again.

Did anyone attend the debate? How did it go? (Despite being only a short distance away, I couldn't attend due to a conflicting office hour.)
