Two Terrific Politico-economic Rants!

Two top-notch rants submitted by several gentle WCF readers

1) Listen up! This is definitely one GREAT rant:
We The People Stimulus Package (YouTube video 6:35)
2) And while we're on the subject of cranky rants, be sure to check out this most excellent reader-submitted expose' style article submitted to us over the past several days by no fewer than five (5) gentle readers. While we've been heretofore reluctant to post this on our exceedingly family-friendly community blog, due to seemingly unnecessary potty-mouth terminology which might offend our more prudish readers... here's the really weird thing... the most interesting politico-economic commentary which has appeared in the webosphere in recent days (to our knowledge) ...comes from the venerable counter-culture icon ...Rolling Stone Magazine, of all places. Go figure. This one is a definite "must read":
The New Trough
Robust reader comments are invited, as always, especially from "grownups."

Great posts.

We HAVE become a nation of apathetic brainwashed robots who refuse to acknowledge what has happened to our form of government.

Those of us who have been around for awhile recognized the thinking toward remaking us into a one-world government as long ago as the 1940's.

My concern is that we are instead becoming a third world nation because of our excesses.

Many experts say that can't happen because our dollar is the world's reserve currency

History always tends to repeat the past.

The day our debt is so cumbersome that we cannot pay our obligations we will no longer have the world's reserve currency because we will no longer be the world's strongest military power.

You only have to look at history for proof of that.

There are too many people with palms outstretched for their share of the wealth for the rest of us to make enough to divide with them all.

I have a great idea. This is for anyone reading this comment.

Print out this article from Rolling Stone Magazine and send it first class to President Obama at the White House and suggest that he spend some time straightening out the coverup that has been going on by the Treasury and the Fed and to also get some legislation started so that the Federal Reserve can legally be audited on all aspects.

This is an incredible piece of information.

It should be printed on the front page of every newspaper in this country.

This article reads as though some of the U. S. Treasury's top people should go to the pen and it appears that the new Secretary of the Treasury and Obama will be continuing the coverup unless they start getting immediately get to the bottom of this scandal..

David Broder, the "Dean" of liberal pundits presiding at the Washington Post itself, has finally caught on. Mr. Broder has the shakes over Obama's O-dacity. Good news! Here's one liberal who is in touch with reality, and he's scared out of his wits.
Writes Mr. Broder,

"The size of the gamble that President Obama is taking every day is simply staggering. What came through in his speech.... Tuesday night was a dramatic reminder of the unbelievable stakes he has placed on the table in his first month in office, putting at risk the future well-being of the country and the Democratic Party's control of Washington .

I've come to believe that the Obama crowd is naive to the point of stupidity. (bold by editor) They are very intelligent, mind you. They have more academic degrees than the faculty of Harvard. But intelligent people are often deeply stuck in their fix-the-world fantasies, which makes them idiot savants. (There's a reason why that's a French term --- Moliere wrote a comedy about it four centuries ago.)

These people have never accomplished anything but suckering the voters --- and each other. Their policy genius, David Axelrod, is a PR agent. That helped with the campaign, but it means nothing for good government. They seem to have no concept of the economy. They want to impose a cap-and-trade system on "carbon emissions," like oil and coal. That comes down to making Monopoly money and forcing energy-using corporations to pay for it. They have no concept of productive investment compared to a wild spending spree on feel-good ideas, or on kickbacks to their buddies in Chicago . After all the "community organizer" hoo-hah they still learned nothing from the welfare fiasco that was inflicted on Black families by LBJ's War on Poverty, and which ended up hurting them more than anything Bull Connor could have done --- by way of family breakdown, helpless dependency, drugs, and gang warfare. They've just abolished Bill Clinton's version of welfare reform, which was forced upon him by the Gingrich Congress, and which has ended up really helping people, not hurting them.

Conclusion: These folks are arrogant and ignorant. Intelligent, yes, articulate, yes, and utterly persuasive to millions of suckers, yes.

But reality has a harsh way with fools.
