Standard-Examiner Guest Editorial: Imbalance and Secrecy in Utah

This strong guest editorial is sensible and true and a 180 degree far cry from some of the crap that Ed Allen has put up on the net fairly recently

This is one great guest editorial piece from Boss Godfrey's father-in-law, Ed Allen, for once, from today's Standard:
This strong guest editorial is sensible and true and a far cry from some of the crap that Ed Allen has put up on the net fairly recently, like when he was very recently blindly touting his plainly botched brain-dead son-in-law:
Bravo to Ed, this time, at least. We won't hold his earlier-demonstrated stupidity against him for now.

re Ed Allen's letter: Have Utah Democrats found their '12 gubernatorial candidate? He's eloquent, has all the credentials of the dominant religion, alludes to the Book of Mormon in his discourses. Surely Herbert is no more formidable as a candidate.

Cross posted with the Standard:

While I applaud Dr. Allen's extremely well done argument for a more open and honest government, I am puzzled by how firmly he stands behind every secretive and manipulative thing his son in law - Mayor Godfrey - does.

The Mayor is most likely the most dishonest politician in Utah's history and the good Doctor has supported him every inch of the way, yet it is clear Dr. Allen is, and has been, a strong proponent of honest politics. Am I missing something here?

My earlier post was, of course, tongue-in-cheek.

I share Tom's bafflement at how Dr. Allen can see the HB477 affair so clearly and then don his blinders to the deeds of his lousy son-in-law.

But what could be more Mormon than convenient amnesia?
