For the benefit of those readers who follow such things, here's the latest Ogden City puff-piece, from the January magazine edition of a well-respected member of the national recreation press:
• The sporting life prospers on- and off-slope in this Wasatch town. And we gotta say we can't argue with Ski Magazine about this:
An Ogden weekend has more skiing than you can cover in a couple of days, but hey, it won’t hurt to try. We're not sure who's responsible for churning out the constant stream of Ogden tout-pieces; but we'll remark that they're going one danged good job.
Gotta go now... now that we've read this "Ski Magazine" article. We're planning to sneak in a few mid-morning runs on our breakfast break.

Somebody needs to tip off Ski Maqazine that it's not politically-correct to mention the Evil Powder Mountain.
Powder Mountain Ski Resort Boycott - Now is the time!!
Hey, guys, this is all good ink for Ogden. Every article like this. Why kvetch about good ink?
Thanks for covering up for me, Curmudgeon. I wouldn't even be in office right now, except for your conglatutory posts!
Just when the lumpencitizens impale me; you're always there to cover my ass with your encouraging posts!!!!!
BG:
Oh, give me a break.
The "article" is a short travel piece that speaks well of Ogden and suggests skiers might want to visit and ski here, stay here while doing it, and eat here as well. Recommends Snow Basin, one hotel, one restaurant, one brew pub. Period. To kvetch about that is silly.
My post said nothing about the Hizzonah, and covered for him in no way.
Get a grip.
Curm neither needs nor wants it...but I agree with what he says here. And I do not think he has covered for Godfrey in any way.
He just points out what he believes are the facts of any given post or blog input. And usually without allowing himself the luxury of ranting and outrageous demagoguery and ad hominem attacks.
Usually you have to admit he is a fair dude whether you agree totally or not.
MM:
Thanks for the back up, Machman. Appreciate it.
