Salt Lake Tribune: Rolly: Education Policy Fight Will Define (Utah) GOP

Added Bonus question: Can we see by a show of hands how many of our gentle readers were shocked to find out that the Utah Republican Party even had a soul?

Interesting Paul Rolly item in yesterday's Salt Lake Tribune, hinting that there's trouble brewing within in the Utah Republican Party, as public education-unfriendly Utah legislators bumble into an education policy "dog fight" with some of their most prominent Utah corporate masters/campaign donors.  Here's the tantalizing lede:
A political war is brewing in Utah and it’s not going to be fought by traditional partisan foes.
This war is Republican on Republican. It’s over the future of education and the best way to prepare students for the workforce to spur economic development.
More broadly, this war is for the soul of the Utah Republican Party.
Check out Mr. Rolly's full column here:
It'll be fascinating to see how this intra-GOP brouhaha plays out, not only during the weeks before the November 2012 election, but in the following 2013 Utah legislative session, no?

Added Bonus question: Can we see by a show of hands how many of our gentle readers were shocked to find out that the Utah Republican Party even had a soul?

(This revelation was certainly news to us.)

 Who could have imagined, even?
