Standard-Examiner: OUR VIEW: Sam Granato For U.S. Senate

Who will be the first to chime in?

The Standard-Examiner editorial board publishes its third editorial in its 2010 General Election endorsement series in its online edition this morning, giving the nod to Sam Granato for Bob Bennett's soon to be vacated US Senate seat:
OUR VIEW: Sam Granato for U.S. Senate
Check out the Standard's video interview of Democratic Party candidate Granato. (Republican candidate Mike Lee reportedly couldn't find the time to be interviewed by the Standard-Examiner editorial board):
Sam Granato
Also missing from the Standard's video series is Constitution Party candidate Scott N. Bradley, whom the SE editorial board declined to interview.

Who will be the first to chime in with their views on the US Senate race?

Update 10/24/10 8:40 a.m.: The above endorsement appears in the SE hard-copy edition this morning.

Interesting. Mike Lee was apparently too busy... or too disinterested... to be interviewed by the SE editorial board. I think we're getting an instructive preview of the level of Lee's prospective responsiveness, if he's elected to serve constituents in the Northern Utah "provinces." Based on his performance so far, my vote is at least one he won't be able to take for granted.

It's too bad that Grenado has such a personality deficit. I'm sure he is a great guy and would be a great Senator, but the poor man has absolutely no charisma or spark. I will vote for him anyway, but it is very doubtful that many folks hereabouts will do the same.

Hopefully the Dems will hold the line nationally and it won't matter much who wins here in Zion.

What are you sayin', Ozboy said...

LOL, Ozboy! Are you saying Granato's opponent has more charisma than Granato?

What are you actually sayin' Ozboy"

I am a Registered Republican, and if I voted for Mike Lee I wouldn't be able to sleep at night. Remember the Dead Zone, that is my worry with Mike Lee.

Granato sounds good to me.

Off Thread but Gold's Gym CEO has donated corporate monies for Tea Bagger party and the boycott Target, Best Buy and now Gold's gym seems to gain some momentum.

Robert Rowling, the CEO of TRT Holdings (the owners of Gold's Gym), is spending quite a bit of money this election cycle. Using both his corporate and personal bank accounts, Rowling has given upwards of $2 million to Karl Rove's new organization, American Crossroads. In turn, that money has been used to support some of the most virulently anti-gay politicians in the country.

These secret non-profit PAC's giving millions into conservative campaigns will come back and bite them in their ass I hope.
